Beckenham High Street Improvements Update

Countdown signs in the three remaining bus stops (outside Lidl, Wimpy and near the War Memorail) should be re-installed by the end of next week ( 26 April). WBRA and LBB’s Stephen Oliver have been harrassing TfL over the work for months, but, finally, involvement from Gareth Bacon’s office (our GLA member) seems to have done the trick. The new bus stop at the bottom of Fairfield Rd should be installed in the next few weeks, but sadly it seems unlikely it will have a Countdown because TfL want £10000 from LBB to install it.
