Completed works.
- The kerbing and paving is largely completed on the North West corner of the War Memorial roundabout.
- Paving has continued outside Prezzo and across the Kelsey Square / High Street junction and kerbing and has continued outside Haks barbers. The cross over entrance to Coopers Mews has been completed.
- Kerbing has continued between Burrell Row and Sainsbury.
Phase 5 works Lidl to Village Way.
- From Monday the 21st June the junction between Burnhill Road, Kelsey Square and the High Street has been closed to traffic. Kelsey Lane remains two-way between Uplands and Wayside where it is closed to traffic. Pedestrian access is maintained from Burnhill Road, Kelsey Square and Kelsey Lane to the High Street. From Fairfield Road to Kelsey Park Road the one way is reversed so traffic drives up Fairfield and left at Burnhill Rd.
- Paving will continue at Kelsey Square and at the junction with Burnhill Road. This is likely to take another week to complete and a few days to cure before reopening to vehicles again.
- The parking bays outside Zizzi will be retained for deliveries only. The footway between Burnhill Road and the High Street has been reinstated but is currently narrowed for safety reasons. It is therefore very difficult for wheelchairs and pushovers to navigate. We apologise for this and will endeavour to open it to its full width ASAP.
War Memorial Roundabout
- Paving work will almost be complete on the North-West corner of the War Memorial roundabout. The pedestrian crossing may need to be temporarily closed and pedestrians diverted around the roundabout whilst the central island is enlarged.
- Street lights will continue to be installed at various locations.
Burrell Row to Sainsbury
- Kerbing and groundworks will continue.
