On 5 January, The Beckenham Academy Trust “E21c” sent in contractors to clear the land it bought from the Co-op on Balmoral Avenue.
All vegetation gone
The academy recently bought the land , but has not yet even applied for planning permission to build the school. The land has been a much loved recreational resource for the local people for over 20 years, but now it has all gone. As far as we are aware, it has not undertaken any wildlife assessments., nor consulted with the neighbours.
We have to ask if people who ride rough shod over local people and have little regard for due process of consultation are fit and proper persons to be educating 1100 children in future years. What an example to set!
